I'm getting some tapping once when I first crank the engine but it does away after it runs for awhile. I recently flushed the engine and changed the oil with 10w-40 but the tapping is still there.

Regarding my '91 Explorer, are the lifters hydralic and can the rocker arms be adjusted? If I decide to replace the lifters, do the cylinder heads have to be removed as on the 2.9L v6?

thanks.

Rob
