- 1997 Mercury Mountaineer
I had a few questions regarding lifting my 1997 Explorer (mountaineer really but from what I've noticed in this case, everything is pretty much the same). About mid-2012 I lifted it 2", 2" TT in the front and 2" spacers in the back.
I got some 33x12.5 BFG A/T but I still have a little rub turning left. So I figured I might as well lift it again.
Now I think I'm pretty set with doing an SOA for the back (with the 2" spacers) so that should get me roughly 4" more right? Also I have no add-a-leafs in the back and I have a 550 lb system in the back.
Now on to my questions..
With an SOA and 2" spacers in the back, what can I do to the front to level it out?
Can I just TT it to the max?
What are some semi-cheaper ways to lift it?
What are some of the more optimal ways to lift the front?
Btw:
1997 Mercury Mountaineer (pretty much the same as explorer suspension right?)
5.0 V8
2WD
4 door
33x12.5x15 BFG A/T
