OK, I have read the chart, very good I must add, anyway, I must ask, so don't alll yell at once and tell me to search, cause I did and can't seem to find out, so.............do a 2001 4 door and a 2001 sport have the same size wheel well openings, in other words is the 2001 4X4 sport the same on the chart????
Thanks,
Sandy

I have a 94 sport with 32x11.5x15 no lift on stock rims and little trimming; plastic trim behind the wheels, and only rubs on full lock on the sway bar..also it has 156+k on it. i take it out everyother weekend to get it dirty so id have to say that every truck is built with differnent tolerences

thanks sandrunner, I have the 31X12.5X15'SSR on MT classsic II 15X10 off my jeep, I know that when the tires were on the stock rims they rubbed the trailing arms, but with the backspace difference of the 15X10's there was no trouble, I am thinking of getting rid of the 20's and putting on the 31's, my son just did the shackles and will do the TT when he is on leave next.
thanks again,
Sandy

im doing a 3inch body and a 4inch suspension lift to my 91 explorer. i was just wondering if the super swamper radial ssr's 33's will be good on it or if they would be too small.

93 with 5.5 Superlift. 34 10.50 LTB's. They rub the plastic trim on the rear of the front fenders when turning and compressing on bumps.

Here's my truck Purple Haze

tires

is going to a 31" going to cause problems with all wheel drive?

33's on stock suspension, its possible! (pics)

:navajo:

nice! handy info. project under way.

thanks ozzy, next ill be installing a 5.5" lift 4" lift for front + 1.5" coil spacers, and soa in the rear got most of the parts today...me so happy....

When I bought my '91 x it had 32-11.50 on stock wheels with stock susp. It would occasionally rub on the inside on the rear during twist and a light touch on the front sway bar at full lock. It had GrabberA/Ts then I put on BFG A/Ts. It now has 31-10.5 GFB muds, no rub. The grabbers were wider and flatter across the tread area with less bulge in the sidewall. Always be aware that tire sizes and shape vary by manufacturer. I've seen huge differences in the same numerical size tire from one brand to another. Even different models from the same manufacturer may vary. I currently have 33-12.5/16.5 on one two of my f-250s. They're different enough to see from a distance. I got a new Yokohama super digger as a spare for one and it's so much bigger than the tires on the truck (almost 2" difference) that you'd swear it's a different size.

It says 3 in body lift you can run 33/12.5/15 on 15/8 Rims...now the whole thread goes into a ask question session but nothing is really covered and what is covered is a matter of opinion I have a 99 mountaineer that I am adding 33/12.5/15 15/8 mickey thompson baja radials on. National Tire and Wheel says 6" of lift is required to run that tire size on my ride. They also say with 6" of lift fender cutting required. Now whos right you guys or them. Because reading for 20 pages and not finding the awnser I look for it a waste of my time. Will they fit or Not...and I know ever truck is different but I am not spending 1100$ and having them not fit.

 you will need the body lift, 2" susp lift and 15x8 wheels with 3.75" of backspacing, and tehy may still rub some and require a bit of trimming....

i got 2" suspension lift and 33x12.50 all terrians and rub a tiny bit but the claws got knobbies so theres probably rub you should clear then w/ 3" body lift and 2" suspension lift

I also wonder about 31's affecting the all wheel drive. It is last and I am sleepy so I am sure I will sound like a broken record I am going to 31's, and to be safe was thinking about a small lift. Which is better shackles or add a leaf for rear and coil spacers or crank the torsion bars for front? Also what about speedo, my wife lives life stoplight to stoplight so an accurate speedo is crucial. Thanks All...Be safe.

You don't have coils, so that isn't an issue, just crank the bars. For the rear, add-a leafs stiffen the ride, but shackles don't. I would reccommend doing both. As for the speedo, thats an easy fix- just buy a new gear from the dealer (thats what i did, just do a search and youll find it).

Ok so on the front how high do the torsion bars need to go and you reccommend both the add a leaf and shackles in the back, correct? Also one last stupid question will 31x10.5 fit on the stock teardrop rims without any changes?

Measure your fenders and then crank on your torsion bars until they are 2 inches higher...you may need to buy longer bolts.

Yes, the tires will fit just fine on the stock teardrops, that is what I am running.
