Lights or no lights??

Hey guys,

I've been thinking the past couple days. I had a set of PIAA 520s on my brushguard. I took them off yesterday. I'm looking for your opinion, does the truck look better with or without them?

Take 'em off, and throw them away with all of the wires conveniently intact, in Alabama. Close to montgomery. I want some 520s...just dont want to pay that much for 'em. Guard looks better with them on if you ask me.

you know.. I'm glad you asked this. Yall have seen my tiny little driving lights thats on my guard now. Well.. I'm gettin a new guard (did you know chrome rusts? thank god for warranty) and am considering some nice big lights.. the size of 520s.. but I'm not payin $250 or whatever for those. Ya think I should get some that large or get none? its a street X

btw on yers, I'd keep the lights. Love the X, especailly the diamondplate in the amp rack

Functionally, keep the lights.
Some how, some where on the trail you will wish you had a lot more light. You know the wet damp nights, that sort of swallows up all the light you can put out.

Looks wise, I like the way it looks without the lights, cleaner, less cramped for space.

What do you think should be the question?

Now you've got me thinking about putting them back on. They do give alot illumination when I need it and they're not half bad looking either. I'm gonna drive around a few days and see how I like it. Keep the comments flowing though.

Understand the need to fiddle with stuff, but leave those lights on and alone. You'll regret getting rid of them someday. and yes, they look good too.

I definitely say you keep them, but I have a question for you Mikeymed8? Where did you get that grille and the brushguard from? It looks so tight on you X, I have the clears like you do but I would want to purchase a grille and a brushguard. I have 93 X and if you can post the link to the website you bought them from and what brand are they to. Thanks man = )

I like the lights, but we haven`t seen them on with the new grille!
I guess you didn`t want them blocking the view of the grille, huh?
Get a set of low profile, or mini lights and tuck em in yer bumper slots if you don`t want those big lights on there. That would accent yer grille and still get a little more light without mounting some where they could be hit, like under bumper.
Just a thought.....

I think your X is too street for lights that offroad. Sell those and get some of those little driving lights. Should be pretty sweet then. Anyone else agree?
