Lock the keys in the car?



If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are home, call someone on your cell phone.



Hold your cell phone about afoot from your car door and have the other person at your home press the unlock button on the spare remote, holding it near the phone on their end.



Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.



Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk!)

i do not think it will work, b/c the transmeter is a radio frecence*sp, but a phone will only put out sound waves that the human ear can hear, why would a phone company spend the extra $ to let people do this???


saying that i think for some reason it may work, i dunno.

but for the people that are going to try it make sure the other person on the phone to TOO FAR a way to unlock the carf them self.

Very interesting..No one has tried it? Should take like 5 minutes, come on lets here it. I have no remote so it wont work for me. But I do not think it will work.

Are you being for real here? I would think it would not work since remotes use Radio Freqency and cell phones use wireless protocols. Having said that I am still gonna try

I did it with an Escape, unless i was too close to begin with, this worked. I tried it with an acura mdx, and it didnt work. It sounds too good to be true. Im gonna fool around with it later today.
