Looking at an '02 limited V8 and also an '04 xlt V8.....any things to worry about?

Selling my 98 and probably getting a 3rd gen V8. Are there certain years that are better? I know they often have wheel bearing issues, but just curious if there are other things I need to be concerned about. Thanks.

02 was the most problematic 3rd gen. The newer the better off you are. Check for any sounds coming from the rear diff or trans, those are potential problem issues, and just check the other typical things when you look over a car.

A 3rd gen owner might be able to get into more detail. There are a few other threads like this out there as well.
