I have the stock 16" alloys on my 06 explorer....

they are 16" right?

I was looking to just get black rims. At a low price. I just want plain like rock-crawler steel rims...instead of the $900 name-brand ones.

Anyone know where to get 4 of them?

I have a 2006 XLT and it has 17 inch rims. Check out the side of the tire and somwhere it should say P245 70 R17 or R16. The R is for the rim size which is a real easy way to determine the size. Also try going to a local auto shop and asking about powder coating the stock rims black. Will give you the nice touch for a fraction of the price and still have the nice ford logos on them.

No actually the R is for radial. AS in 245/65R17

Appologies. R is for radial the number next to it will give you the rim size. :)

Ill check on that tommrow. How do they powdercoat the rims and am I capable of doing it myself?

another stupid question...how do I find out how wide the rims are?

If you have stock...

another stupid question...how do I find out how wide the rims are?

Your stock rims are likely 17x7.0 or 17x7.5... I think it's engraved on the backside or inside of the wheel itself...

I just posted a set of four... but I thought the R was for Rim size too. Anywho... 17x8 Why would the R be for Radial? Oh well... :)

those look like them but 99.00 each is a complete rip off. a 16" soft 8 should be no more than 65-70.00 I paid 50.00 each for my 15's

you know where to find them? Ive been looking and I cant find anything cheaper

and finally....do I have to worry about calipers rubbing or anythign if I get different rims?

As long as you don't go below a 16" diameter rim there should be no rubbing. Caliper and brakes are OK, but the control arms would rub with a smaller diameter wheel.
