ive got a 94 2 door 4wd...looking to trade in for a newer suv. i have a 02 explorer xlt 4.0 control trac on loan from somewhere. 78k miles...
the only other thing i noticed was axle code 45.

are there any issues with this model someone can tell me about without having to read 50 threads...i have to bring this thing back soon...

with my old rig, i found out the a4ld was a bad tranny (after i bough it) found out it had open carriers after i bought it.....

I just bought one w/ 73k miles and I'm having transmission troubles already and an unidentified humming noise. If you have it on loan for a while and don't notice anything wrong with it then there's a good chance it will last a lot longer.

Problem areas from what I've read are the sealed wheel bearings (expensive to replace since they're sealed) and transmission.
