Looking to buy v8 awd limited.

I am going to look at 1996 explorer v8 awd limited for $2000 (canadian dollars). Is that a good price range? But my concern is what is the best v8 combo for the explorer?Please i need some input on this guys, cause my xploder is about to die.Thanks

If it's in good condition I would go for it. That sounds like a good price to me. There are only two V8 combo's for second generation explorers. V8 AWD, and V8 2WD. A large percentage of them are AWD. Assuming the mileage isn't too bad, it's in good condition and drives well, I would do it. I think you will be very happy with the V8. Very reliable drivetrain, I would love to have one.

I have a 96 AWD v8 ex and the power is unreal. That coming from a 3.0 ranger though.

I havnt had the chance to offroad or drive a lot of miles because im too busy modding it

Great power, great reliability. Just costs a little more in gas money. Well worth it.
