My '01 Sport has a weird problem, the accelerator cable has a lot of slack in it, I can pick up the cable itself, metal not the casing and pull it up about half a inch before it moves the butterfly or the pedal itself. Inside you can push the pedal about half inch down before there is any reaction.
Is there anyway to tighten this thing up, or replace? Unfortunatly I have a June '00 Sport, which means this cable is different from the July'00 and is obsolete from the dealership so I have to order from a obsolete specialty store in michigan.
Thanks!

there is a thread on here addressing this particular issue i will see if i can find it and post it up, unless someone else can get it before me

^^^ It seems like a pretty "ghetto" fix, but it works VERY well. Highly recommended.
