I recently picked up an 88 Bronco II with an automatic transmission. It has the shifter on the floor. I drove it around the lot and it feels like it shifts fine. The problem is the lockout button you need to press to shift between the gears does not work. This means if I accidentally hit the shifter with my leg I change gears. Is there a bushing or something in the shifter I can replace or should I just look into a new shifter unit?
