I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion for how to get MFT to read my text messages again? I have a Blackberry 9900, and it was able to do that out of the box.

Suddenly, in the last few days, it stopped working? Tried disconnecting and reconnecting both phone and MFT, and when phone reconnects it specifies the MAP profile. Can anyone help?

Have the same problem with a Droid Bionic. Connected my phone the 1st day I got my Ex and the texting would not work (sending and receiving). Tried reconnecting several times with no luck. Finally after about a week I read somewhere to disconnect or delete the Sync profile from your phone, then delete your phone from Sync, then do a master reset in MFT, then add your phone to MFT again.

Doing this actually worked for me... It showed me I had new text messages for the 1st couple I received. After that I would have to hit "download new" for them to show up on MFT. Now I'm back to not being able to even download them again. I'm sure if I do a master reset and add my phone again like I described above it will work, but I don't want to do this every day!

I'll probably do it one more time, and if it stays working great. if not, I'm just going to wait until the new update comes out :(

I have samsung galaxy s2. I remeber it stopped showing new messages for a couple of days and then it started working by itself . Now it notify me well when i get a message but when i press listen many times it reads an older message instead. I have to go and select the new message manually and listen to it.

My wife was disappointed as she liked the car reading text messages to her, but I'm probably going to wait till the new release, rather than doing a Master reset.

Did try deleting profile, and then redoing it (without Master reset) but that didn't work. Ahh well.

Mine does this too. It will read the oldest unread message no matter what new message comes in.

Did you try a battery pull on your BB? That usually helps :)

Nope, but I certainly can - for a second there I thought you were saying battery pull on the Explorer and I was going Eeeep - don't really want to do that:)

Anyway, thanks Rebecca, I'll give it a try!

Oh, come on now, calb! You should know me better than that by now ;)

Let us know how it goes!

Well, gave it a shot, but no luck? Puzzling since it worked perfectly before. Not a critical feature, but nice to have, and I know when the new release comes out on ... uhm ... you said February 1st, right? ;) ... well .. when it comes out it will hopefully fix it. If not, I'll get more serious about pursuing it.

Thanks, Rebecca - and best of the season to you and your co-workers!
