Low fuel consumption

Hi, I'm Mauricio, I bought a few days ago a 2006 explorer xlt, 4x2, 4.0 with only 50k miles , the truck drives good but only makes 10 mpg, the car was scanned and there's no codes at all, is this the average of fuel consumption?

No, the gas mileage should be higher than what you are getting. A search through the 2006 to 2010 fourm will turn up lots of threads on this subject and some things to check.
