I searched and have found many messages about the "fake" oil pressure gauges but none seemed to address my specific problem. I would appreciate any and all thoughts on the topic.

My "Check Gauge" light is a fixture when I have a cold engine. The Oil Pressure indicator is in the basement. As soon as the engine warms, the climate control starts to circulate heat, and the gauge pops up to normal and the the idiot light goes out.

Are others experiencing this problem? Is this normal? At least I now understand why the gauge is rapidly jumping into the normal area. My vehicle is still under warranty. Do you think I should bring it in for service?

Many thanks

I have one possible answer for you...
Move South!!!! ;)

Seriously, Welcome to the site. You will find lots of useful information here. ok - maybe not about sticking oil-pressure guages.

On that note...
Sounds like your guage is sticking - since you're still under warranty, take it in and let Ford fix it.

i wonder if your oil is too thick for the condituions and is is harder to move at lower climate ie startup but when it warms up the consistency changes and it is ok
