Low whine from front end

I have a low whine coming from the left front end. It occurs anytime vehicle is moving. Doesn't sound like squeaky brakes. It squeaks with every revolution with the tire. No visible signs of anything rubbing. Any information would be greatly appreciated on the cause and fix of this problem. Vehicle is 97 Sport, 4x4, control trac, 4.0 ltr.

do you know exactly where its coming from (block, suspension or trans)?

I know it's not coming from the block and I don't believe it's the tranny. When I jack it up and spin the tire by hand it will make the noise.

could try a brake pad is hanging up or you could have a wheel bearing going bad
