I've got some play in the lower steering shaft (159K miles) on my '96 2WD, so I'm going to put in a new one this weekend. My Haynes manual says nothing about how to do this. Alldata shows .7 hours allowed, so I'm figuring it can't be too difficult. Anyone have any tips to offer?

This is easy. One bolt on the steering rack, one right next to the header. Pull out, swap.. you're done.

Sweet. That's what I thought, but it looked too easy. Thanks!
