I recently bought purchased some used 16 inch rims for my 2010 Explorer. I cannot figure out what size lug nuts I need to fasten the center caps. The ones I have aren't big enough to hold it in place. 1L241A096-HA is the part number for the center cap. Any help would be appreciated.

IMO the best option is stock explorer lug nuts for 2 reasons. 1- they will fit the center caps, and 2- the nut seat angle will match the wheels.

Thank you both for bringing this up and replying to it. I bought some junkyard rims for my explorer and the lug nuts wouldn't retain the center cap. I've been buying auto parts on Amazon most recently and read a lot of reviews and Q/A with no luck. I've been driving around for the last 6 months looking like crap so I decided this morning that I'd check back with this forum because I couldn't be the only person with this problem! Low and behold, the magic words were "wheel cover retaining nut" not lug nut. Nagging problem solved!
