Thank's man, it's a learning process that's for sure. :D:thumbsup: and I'm so much more philisophical about it after a few beers!
I called the tune now I have to pay the piper.

Thanks for finding my retirement spot !! Couple hammocks, some cool breeze, a Lynchy by my side, and I'm there till the ends of days :)

Fixed that for ya... :D

Update Lynchy... Can't lose your card- Uma would get very bored, and Hilux's would start to take over the beaches...

hahahaha, I have found my advocate if I need to go to court.:D I should know what's up in about 5 hrs.
I'll have to buy a hammock too.:D

Standing by................................

The transport dept got the dates wrong between the end of my extraordinary license (yesterday) and the end of my suspension (tomorrow but they aren't open on a saturday Oz time) so I'm back down there on monday morning with no driving inbetween. Bloody govt. dept...sigh.

On the bright side the nice lady behind the counter only mentioned a criminal record check and theory test's, so I might get lucky with not having to wait for a practical assessment (if I have to do one at all?)

All in all I feel more positive about the situation after this morning and I will save a few bob on fuel. Being house bound means I can sit back and watch V8 supercars,NASCAR and the afl, rugby league and union. Heaps of BBQ's and beer too. Hell, it could be alot worse.:D:thumbsup:

No worries mate, hope you've kicked that flu's arse. Lot's of garlic and lemon juice may help, tho' not necessarily taken together :thumbsup:

Just a quick license update. Conviction check came back clear (as it should, haven't been in trouble with the law for 15 years), passed the evil's of alcohol theory test 15/15 correct and paid $17.40 for something (I don't know what and they didn't tell me so I didn't rock the boat). The doc only faxed my medical results on Friday (2 weeks after I took it) and I'm waiting for a letter from the licensing mob that confirm's they have received the medical and all is well so I can jump through the next hoop...er...take the next step. On the plus side, Uma has never been so clean. Vacuumed (first time since I've had her) and washed and polished. There is alway's a bright side.

Lynchy, I'm glad that Uma is clean. I'll put in a couple extra for you when I hit my knees tonight!! ;) :salute:

Thank's mate! I appreciate it:biggthump. It certainly stop's me taking thing's for granted when life decide's to hit me over the head with a big stick. That in itself is worth lying up for a few day's/week's(?).

a bit off topic, but,

anything happen down there after the earthquake in NZ ?

There's no such thing as off topic in this thread Pete!!:D:thumbsup:
Nothing down here (touch wood) but they sure are having a rough trot across the ditch. Earthquakes, savage snow storm's, cyclones/hurricanes, flood's and fire. All in the last six month's. I won't ask what's next or if the mayan's were right about next year, that may be tempting fate abit too much. I am going to bung on a winch and 33's tho' (just in case):D

glad to hear some things are good, , here's hoping for the best down there,, looks rough,,

Amen mate, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for our kiwi brother's and sister's as well.

Me too Lynchy!

Good on yer mate  They need it in Christchurch and surround's right now. Here's a couple of youtube video's of the devastation

And a lighter side (explicit language warning)

Little license saga update: Doctor did not fill out the form properly and they need to contact him to find out the omitted infomation, then reassess, then onto the director's desk to get the final o.k. signature. The time this will take? Up to three week's.

Rain-Xed all the glass on Uma today and am going to take to her rim's with a toothbrush tomorrow.:biggthump

Tokk off the running board's today to see how it would look, I like it!

I've got a 3mm skid plate that will protect the power steering cooler from tree root's, stick's and such but that won't be sorted until next week.
