I have searched a lot and can't find anything. I have found a used M5OD-R1 from a Mazda B4000. The Mazda is a 2WD. Can I use this Tranny in my '99 Sport 4WD ? All help appreciated Brian

the 2WD tranny has a different tailshaft and tailshaft housing. it connects straight to a driveshaft instead of to a flange to mate up to the transfer case. the only way to convert the 2WD tranny to 4WD is to change out the tailshaft. thats a bummer cuz it requires a complete tear down. its the last piece to come out and the first to go in.

save yourself the hassle and find a 4WD transmission, IMO.
