I've been installing part number 3640 on my wife's truck and nothing seems to fit right.
I can't install it correctly, seems that the pegs are causing some of the problem, and then i remove those and it still doesn't fit right.
I would think if i cut the actual metal plate that I could get it to fit, is their a possiblity taht I received the wrong metal plate or airfilter?
Also, it only has one hole for the engine oil vaccum tube, and the stock intake had another sensor on it . the mac intake has no housing/place to put it in.
*confused*
appreciate the help

well because I tried to find something to help and to no avail. I had to put back the stock filter on for now. :( sucks when you try to do something nice for someone and you just can't get it to work.
I was about to bust out the dremel and make it fit. figure I'd wait to see if anyone else had had fitament issues w/ their 97 ohv on model number 3640.
maybe they can have some answers for me... :o

Just make sure you have the correct part for the OHV engine, and not for the SOHC or the 5.0.

oh yeah, and next time get a KKM ;)
