Mach Audio System Questions?

I am taking delivery of an '00 Explorer Limited with the Mach audio system. I am curious what it consists of and what the stock subwoofer size is. Does it sound fairly decent for a factory sound system. Any information would be helpful. Thanks all!

Hi,

I have a 99 limited with the Mach Audio system. It isn't bad for a factory system but it can be much better.

I believe the stock sub is an 8 incher and it does a decent job. I am looking to replacing it next. I want lower bass than it provides.

I already replaced the door speakers. That is a must, IMO. The factory speakers are the weakest link. The front speakers are slightly better than the rear but they both stink.

I am also replacing the radio. Mostly because of the stupid display problem. It isn't a bad radio but I like to see what stations I am listening to and what time it is.

AM reception is very poor, and I don't believe it is the antenna.
