- '96 Eddie Bauer V8 AWD
Finally got my new (used) explorer this past sunday. Its a 96 eddie bauer fully loaded with the v-8 and awd. It needs a lil work as any older vehicle would which leads me to my question. The door ajar light wont turn off. Ive already tried the wd-40 trick and that didnt work. So next I looked in the driver door boot conduit. Found 2 broken wires fixed one last night and gettin ready to go out and fix the next. Neither were the black gound wire though. When any of the doors open it puts off the chime except for the hatch. Should it chime when the hatch is open? I dont think my 91 did but i also had the door chime unplugged and dont remember.
