So, I know that this is a very very newbie like question, and I apologize for such. I got tired of searching after reading twenty+ posts on this subject.
The whole preocess is very clear to me with one exception........

How the hell do you get the plastic seal out of the security torx screws??????
I have tried prying, digging , melting, etc.... but it's just scared up and still in there..

Help please! I really want to clean it and see if it will help with my irregular idle. I am sure it will after having a friend way over oil my cone filter. I only drove 20 miles, but the oil is around in there, and I am sure it is not helping much.

Hmm it's making me think that I should have just picked up the 75mm Pro-M from John V. and saved myself the headache.

Thanks in advance, Bryce

Don't be scared to dig around....

Either use a knife, or a lighter and simply melt the wax in the "security torx" screws. Just go at it, and you'll be able to get to the screws in a few minutes. There's nothing on the other side of the screw that you could damage.
Best of luck,
Karl
