magnaflow cat back exhuast tip ?/PICTURE request

I have a 04 explorer( v8) and am wondering about the exhuast tip on the mangaflow cat back system. The pictures I seen dont have mud flaps.

I am wondering How much clearence is there by the tip and If anyone has that cat back system with stock ford mud flaps.

Also IS that a good system. It is pricey, but I love the sound of it and looks.

I don't have the mudflaps so I can't help you with the clearance and pictures. As for the system I like it and installation was easy. As for the price yes it does cost more than most other systems but whatever you decide just make sure to remember to compare identical materials when comparing prices. Magnaflow is full stainless and it reflects in the price.

Also, you have a k&n metal intake? I thought they only made the plastic one.

I think K&N makes black plastic intake for 4.6L

while they made metal(chrome) intake for 4.0L explorers.

That is from what I've seen, I want a K&N intake for my 4.6L as well.

There is the metal K&N intake on a 4.6 3v and some measurements for the Magnaflow exhaust tip. Tires are 265/65/18's.

Ya that motor is different in my 04. I am really not up to date on ford stuff. I know k&n makes a intake for my 4.6. ebay has them for 250$ shipped.

sir, isnt your explorer a 06? Thats prolly why you got metal. I dont think there is any metal intake for 4.6L on 3rd gens (02-05)

still wondering about the exhaust? my magnaflow tip is about 4 inches behind hte wheel well. here is how it looks and sounds. my first two mods were a K&N and a magnaflow, i was rather happy with the sound.

ALSO, in terms of performance, magnaflow is the way to go, but i BOW before flowmaster super44's in terms of sound.

If you had mudflaps it looks like the tip would be right againest it.

the video i posted is the magnaflow catback system. Ill take some video of exterior and interior noise levels in normal driving conditions here in a few minutes. just got done working out and im headin to the grocery store so i might as well.

And as i stated before, there is roughly 4 inches in clearanec between my exhaus tip and the back of the wheel well.
