valve body nightmare, reading the book, looking at check ball locations, look back at valve body, look back at book, I think my head is about to explode! what a puzzle that sucker is

Wasn't to bad.

But it had only seven checkballs on the instructions while I had 8 in my valve body.

The instructions had a picture of the channel side and it had an arrow pointing to one of them that said "do not put check ball here". So I now have one left over.

I'm thinking about double checking with transgo about that before I reinstall it.

Transgo has done that a lot in AOD trannies, seven sounds like the right number.

I'm thinking it has something to do with making the trans hold 1,2, and 3 to any RPM.

They have been in the business of correcting OEM issues for about 20 years longer than anyone else. Most other companies started by learning from them. I had good experiences with them in the 80's, but not so good with B&M and one company that is now a big trans converter source(yellow paged ads in magazines). Baumann has been a very good choice also.

yeah I had heard of people not liking there b&M kits and also I've heard alot of their products have dropped in quality lately. Which led me to chose transgo. And like you said, they've been doin it for longer than I been breathin.

I hope the shifts kick like a horse!

What about the non-tensioner idler pulley that goes on the lowest bit of accesory bracket? Mine is siezed.

Kind of a silly thing to ship all this way but it's all I can think of at the moment.

Unless of course, you happen to have the pressure side power steering hose...

I just told my wife if she lets me drag home this 98 5.0L truck I found I we will have a V8 Sport Trac, she said you cant put a V8 in it until we pay it off! I am like LOL oh yeah I forgot, always jumping the gun!!! so I may drag it home anyway LOL

lol, I'd be screwed if I had a wife, I've spent a nice little chunk on this thing, and it's not quite paid off yet, have another 8 months to go. But I doubt the bank would care, that's just more interest for them.
