Hi Guys,

I hope you can provide me with some expert help.

My 08 Explorer Limited is currently sitting on 235/65R18s.

I'm looking for something with a different look. I found these Cooper AT3 255/70R18, but as you notice it's quite the jump in size.

Will I be able to fit these without lifting ?
If not, what would be the max size i could put on with out a lift. Running on stock rims by the way.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Brian.

Brian, welcome to the forum. You can probably go up one size before you would have to replace the rims with a wider size.

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure what that exactly means. Does that mean that my stock rims has a max width of tires it can fit ?

Would a 255/65 fit. That's less of an increase from the AT3s

Hi Brian,
265/65/18 hit the inner fenders on the front, just tie them forward with zip ties.
265/60/18 Michelin Defenders look and ride good. Great four season tire.
I up sized to the 265/50/20 and like them even better. There are a lot of 20" wheels available.

Like the previous reply, I've seen many go with 265/65/18. 70's will be too tall on 18's

I have 265/65/18 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2's with 2"wheel spacers and I have only a small amount of rubbing.

I see people go with different sizes. Most (including me) went with 265-60-18 that is the closest size to stock height wise.
