MAX WIDTH?

What is the max width tire I could install on an 8 inch wide rim? From what Ive read some of you have 275s on these rims... hows that working out for you?

depends how much sidewall you have. the more sidewall, the wider the tire you can use. 35x12.5 or 33x12.5 is fine. shorter and you have to go narrower.

if you find the tire in question on tirerack.com they will give you the manufacturers recommnded rim width range there.

yup. i actually have 285's on 8" wide wheels
