Microsoft Sync

I have a 2010 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bower 4WD.

The SYNC drives me bonkers! I say something to it and it has several different responses to the same thing. It calls people that have names that done even sound anything like the name that I asked it to call. Sometimes I have to scream at it. I have yet to figure out where the microphone is.

Where can I find out some information on this system?

Can I update it? It is very old technology.

My bluetooth has about 10% the volume the radio does, How do I update the software? Gracenotes also seems out of date.
