The introduction to an article/thread/paper is always the toughest. You want it to sound cool and to catch everyone's attention. You want to make it slightly personal so the reader immediately makes a connection and wants to continue to read on. But, you don't want to be so personal that you sound corny... (I.E. "Hey, Ya'll!"). Anyways... I have never been good at these types of things...
"YO! YO! WHATS UP PEOPLES?!"
I earned Midnight after a drunk driver totaled my old S-10 Blazer. I was in a hurry to get a car, because I was leaving in a week to go back to college in N.C. Two days before I was due to leave, I found an and of a local man with a private dealers license was selling a '94 Explorer 4x4 for $1600. My father and I rushed down there to take a look at her, and she had 145,000 miles and a dented passenger side door. But, everything else was in working and pretty good condition. SOLD! I used to be a Chevy guy (I know, laugh it up), but after owning this vehicle, I have never looked back. I now have 210,000 miles on the old girl, and she still runs great. Only maintenance (Outside of Oil and Brakes) that I have had to do on her has been a thermostat once about 1-1/2 years ago. After five years, I still have the tires that were on her when I purchased her. She has been in a few ditches and mud holes, and has always been able to crawl her way out.
I currently consider myself a "semi-professional" car-audio installer, and have done a lot of work for friends (Probably 20+ subwoofer installs, and tons other speakers & radio installations). Never done anything commercially, but I have been considering getting a better set of tools and trying to do some real work.
As the Title of the thread states, Midnight is the sole survivor of "Pandora's Box Customs". We used to be a small car club consisting of about ten friends. But, everyone else has either moved away or has lost their thrill for the automotive modification scene.
Current modifications to Midnight include:
Future Modification in the works:
I will keep everyone updated and posted on my progress of work.
This won't be done in one weekend, and will certainly be spread out over a long time. But, it is just a bunch of ideas that I have running through my head.
