Grand Junction is only 113 miles from Moab..... that's about 1,900 miles closer than from where you live. Sounds close enough when you think about it in those terms :) That's what Ashli was going to do for this run; fly into Grand Junction, rent a car, and meet me in Moab. She had a scheduling conflict though and won't be able to join us.

I have a seat for the stocker/Modified run on Sat., ( I had a good buddy that was dying to go, but He leaves on the 9th or so for Iraq :( )

I have a Sport Trac and I'll only have 1 passenger. Not as exciting as the Big-Dog stuff probably, but I will be ecstatic just to be in Moab for my first time. :) Let me know if you need a lift for Sat.

I can't make any promises yet, but if I can swing this I'd definitely love to go. Wonder if I could rent an Explorer...hahaha :)

I live in Junction and have an open seat! I was planning to leave sometime Thursday and return Monday morning. You're more than welcome to ride along if your interested.

Excellent!! That sure would help her out

GO! Moab is amazing, I dont care if its on foot.....the place is one of the most beautiful and surreal places on this planet.

I know you can rent a jeep in Moab :) . It's pretty pricey though. I was considering renting one just for fun at the Jeep Safari even though they allow any vehicle. But they were around $170 per day with a three day minimum  .

I will have open seats for the big dog runs, if I make it?

Hey Brian1 is your dad coming out with you??? I tried to get my folks to come out with us but they had other plans for that weekend.

Who all is camping out in the desert??? I should be arriving mid to late thursday. Any suggestions as too where we could camp?

Sand Flats Recreation Area, near the Slickrock bike trail. ;)

Any suggestions on where to stay if you can't bring your tent on the plane with you? Dunno about you guys, but us mid-atlantians stay up almost all night around the campfire :D

Lots of hotels in Moab, or the Canyonlands has some nice cabins with bunk beds, electricity, and AC....

Ooh, luv me sum cabins! That'll work, thanks. Guess it'd be smart to call and reserve, huh ;)

When I was looking at the cabins they were about $10-$15 cheaper a night then some of the hotels. However you had to provide your own linins and the bathrooms were down yonder away from them.
