Moab 2013 Photos and Videos

Ill get some pictures up soon. I was scrolling through Rick's pictures all proud of my Jeep until I saw the one where my spring fell out... :hammer: Great run, looking forward to future runs with you all. Hopefully I can bring my 98 Explorer next time. And Rick, you cursed my rig because we were talking about me getting rock sliders sooner than later...and Hell's Revenge gave my drivers side a slight beating.

Kevin and I are in the tent trailer in he Pendleton casino parking lot having a beer. 783 miles today and 276 more for me tomorrow and Kevin has about 80 more than that.

Will be looking at pics and videos for days and will post soon

..Get ready for your Monday fix...:D

..I wonder if Paul has found his tire yet after having his radius arm that was broke in two places welded up...(Broke on Wipe Out Hill on 7 mile rim)

Yup . . . .

Just rolled into town after 1100 miles and 18 hours on the road - - like most, will need a few days to sort and post pictures (Tomorrow is a "work" day, after all. . .)

Thanks again to most (not Kevin) of the PNW Crew and James T for helping with the "get home" repair of the radius arm.

Great seeing everyone, some for the first time - - had to sneak out before all the farewells were complete, but hope to meet up again on the trail with you all in the future.

Safe Journeys,

Paul

...You are an animal Paul...I can't drive straight thru anymore..

..I forgot to mention we did have a Canadian in the group, Allen with mods to his Explorer that we definitely need some more info on...I wish I could remember his screen name so I could check out his build thread..

..But here are a couple quick videos while others are sorting thru pics..

..A quick shot of everyone at the Branding Iron before the food was served..

..and a video with all the participating vehicles..:biggthump

What a great weekend. I remembered what I forgot....
.... that is, how much I love Moab! It was nice to see old friends and make some new ones. A great thanks to Paul for providing a seat for three days on the trail. This year did renew the memories of how much I miss Moab. I do plan on being at Moab 2014 with my own rig.

If I remember right he was going by TARA

Great to meet and see everyone again, It will take awhile to through all of the video and pictures to edit and post them.

Here is a link to the "Top of the World" aerial photo:

From the contour lines on the topo map it looks like it's 2000 feet to the valley floor.

67truckguy I dont think he has a build thread but he does have info on the d44 outer conversion

Looks like a good side group. Some year I will make it.

Tim

..There were usually 3 groups leaving the City Market and of those, a few split again due to size of groups..

..As for Randall...I think I have a couple pictures of him wheeling his own rig but I am pretty sure he has more stories to tell from this trip than most of us put together...:D

..I'll see if I can find some pictures of him in his rig..;)

..The drive home was different as Las Vegas was expecting 104* and between St. George and Mesquite the Locust were rampant and everyone is bracing for the return of the Cicada's..

Still on the road home. Becky & I are doing the tourist thing all the way back & making the most of our vacation time together. We had a wonderful time this past 9 days, and can't wait to do it again.

Was great seeing a bunch of you again, and putting a face to others I have talked with for years now.

Next year will try to bring the Ex :)

Phil and I have made it home safe and sound. After arriving at his house around 11:30 am and unloading all his stuff from the F350, I continued on my final 80 miles. I am unloaded, but it's all just sitting inside the shop door, where it will probably stay til this weekended

Couple of photos my brother took early in the week at BFE and Moab Rim. . .
