Just curious, is anybody going to head down for Moab Easter Jeep Safari?

If so what days and what trails?

And for all of the clueless EJS IS open to all makes of Vehicles;)

I wouldn't go there during easter jeep safari to save my life. No offense but I like going there to wheel not to sit in line for hours and then get rushed through the obstacle because theres hundreds of people lined up behind me. I've heard that place just gets to be a mad house!

I'll probably be there......not wheelin but ridin and spotting. Just look for the club "Southern Idaho Off-Road Association" that'll be me somewhere.

I'm not sure the dates though but at our last meeting we decided to show our faces.

I sure want to do EJS. Just need to get a few Explorers together to make a good showing.

Rick, have you ever tried to get some of us to go for EJS? I think that would be a good idea if we can get maybe 3 or 4 Explorers out there.

I thought about takin mine but I would rather go with other explorers then my tin bender friends. Besides it would just turn out to be me against 50 other cherokees. I don't like the odds of that.

It won't be this year, sorry. I have TDS the first weekend of March then the AZ run in the middle of March. Too much going on. I do know that I'm not going to make a regular thing of Moab at the end of May, to darn hot.

I'll be going to Moab in the spring or fall from now on.

Rick

I was just wondering if there would be any show of Explorers down there because frankly I get sick of seeing Jeeps when I don't own one.

As for the issue of busy trails, don't let that keep you away.
Just get a copy of the EJS schedule and plan on doing trails during the "off" days.

Better yet, go on some trails that EJS doesn't do.
Last year me and my dad went up Onion Creek all the way to the Castleton-Gateway Road on "Big Saturday" and the only person we saw was one of the Taylor's up on his ranch.
It wasn't the hardest trail but it was way more beautiful than "Moab Rim" or "Porcupine Rim"

Then at the end of the day go back to Moab to join the festivities of one of the biggest 4-Wheel events of the year.
