Modifying a '95 2wd

1. Will this work for my '95?

2. What do I need to buy besides a Ranger BL kit?

3. How hard will this work be to do myself without any special equipment?

4. Can I put 35s on it because I think the 32s he has on that one are too small, but he doesnt have much room behind the front tires.

5. Would doing this be just as good as doing a TT, Spindles, SOA like Boomin did?

And by the way, thanks for the help.

1. yeah pretty sure
2. you will need rear spring perches, probably longer shocks, sway bar extensions are optional, and a rear locker if you are serious about offroadin.
3. would need a welder to weld new spring perches, otherwise lots of labor, body mounting bolts are a PITA.
4. not sure about 35's, you can get more out of a TT because you dont have front cv axles to worry about, you could fit them easily with some fiberglass fenders, but that would be extra money including painting them to match, or you could get 35x10.5's instead of 35x12.5's, still might require some trimming.
5. its basically the same thing just without the front spindles. it uses the sloped body mounts instead(cheaper$$). im not 100% sure that spindles are available for 95 and 96, but i base that on my poor memory.:D

Ok, well my friend's dad works for the Ford Factory and I'm sure he can help me with anything I need. I don't know about his welding ability because I don't know what exactly he does at work, but that friend has recently been learning to weld or I can get a shop to do my welding if I have to. I looked at the m.o.r.e. website, where Nick got his perches, but didn't see them. I'll call later. I'll look for shocks. Is there a stock sway bar on the ex, or would the extensions just be if I had one? I don't know what a rear locker is, but I would still like to take this offroad one day. As for the tire fitting, I think I might paint the car anyways, so I'll think about the fenders. The 12.5/10.5 is tire width right?

I'm really thinking about taking this path now because spindles are expensive, and I THINK I saw some on one site for a '95, but I could be wrong.

Oh, and if I don't have to worry about cv axles, I can easily do more than 2" TT?

yes those numbers refer to the width, most rubbing issues occur when the tires are turned all the way(full lock) and a wider tire will rub easier.
these are some nice perches, but before you order any, double check that you get the ones that are the same width as the axle tubes. it will be 3" or 3.25" for the curved part on them. im not sure which it is, because i've seen two posts, one sayin they are 3" and another saying they are 3.25". someone on here that actually KNOWS should chime in, or you could grab a tape measure.
you should be able to get 3-4"+ out of a TT, but your ride quality is going to suffer a lil. you should be able to find out more on that by extensive searching.
best rear locker for the money that i found...the thread is a lil chatty, and we dont get a discount on it, but the price is great compared to the competition. i have a post on the first page to the manufacturers site. i just figured you will learn some stuff by reading the whole thread.

remember, that all the stuff im telling you, i learned from searching and doing a lot of reading. i like talking about this stuff, so keep the questions coming.
