I have a quick way to make an omlete in the morning with almost zero cleanup. Have you ever made one in a ziplock bag?? We do it quite frequently if your interested. :)

Yes I have done it that way but that still requires having a stove out

Can't you just put it on the exhaust manifold? (Like the old time way to cook hot dogs! :p: )

Can't use a baggie for that.. You need to use tin-foil. :)

What route are you going to take through Death Valley to Baker? With all the rain they are getting now, "they are getting pounded". Hope it dries out by March.

...ScottB might have missed your post..:(

...He will be deciding some of the major details for the trip and the routes over the next couple weeks..

...I'm sure he will post up more details after this has been decided...;)

I didn't miss it - I just don't have an answer yet!

As Tbars said, I will be working on the routes/stopovers this week and next week. :)

...These may be worth keeping an eye on as it has been raining all over So Cal including the Deserts..So far they are saying this has been the wettest December in history for the area's...

...These guys are heading out to do the Mojave Rd. this weekend...

...and I called over to the Trasharoo guys to see if they were in their shop today...I caught them on their cell phone out on I-15 heading to Death Valley/Saline Valley for the weekend...They said they will post up a report of their trip on...

Very interested, would love to bring the 2000 but it more then likely would be the 94,it's 1500 miles one way and it gets 19+ per gallon.I can carry 12 gallons of spare fuel and 6 gallons of water in a carrier I had made.

I look forward to seeing how this pans out,I think I can do it.:D

You'd be better off with 6 gallons of fuel and 12 gallons of water...

...So are we set for the 21st thru the 31st??.....Have you gotten a plan of locations yet or are we going to be freewheelin and just take it easy day by day??

...I need a date so I can crunch time all my projects though...:hammer:

The plan is to leave Kingman, AZ on the morning of Monday March 21 for 3 days on the Mojave Road, spend the night and re-supply in Barstow, CA, then spend Thursday heading to somewhere in northern DV, Friday through Wednesday in Death Valley, working our way south.

At this point, I don't think it would smart to pick the exact route to take. Given all the rain that Cali has gotten, we will need to see what is dry/passable when we get there.

The dates are fixed, however.

...Cool...:biggthump

...I'm thinking I will be up at Needles or the Dam Sunday Night depending on weather and meet you at the AVI casino or preferably Bullhead City AZ to fuel up and get the last of the groceries Monday morning if that works...

That's fine. Don't forget to save some room in your fridge...

I have a few things to do to the truck before the trip - bumper, sleeping platform, fix the A/C, battery cage & cables, new (replacement) auxiliary wiring harness, install Lokar emergency brake cable, bedline flares and tires.

...We can stock the fridge in Bullhead as they have good grocery stores there and the gas is the cheapest around....;)

...I'm bringing my other cooler for use of storage of dry goods...I'm hoping for a lot of work between now and then as there are a few other things I need to purchase to complete my mod's...I'm hoping to also get a new set of a/t's from http://tirecrawler.com before the trip..

After driving around on the snow/ice we've had here this week, I really like my ATs (even though they are worn quite a bit.) I don't think MTs would grab nearly as well.

As such, I'm seriously considering staying with ATs instead of swapping to MTs. The only question is, do I go to a 33x10.50 or stay with a 32x11.50?

...Go for the 33's, you know you want to...:biggthump
...But hurry up and get them on so I can decide if I want to make the change myself...:p:

Yes, I want to. But I am hesitant to drop to a 10.50 - I like the wider tread of the 11.50...

...Go up to the 12.50's as you have 8" wheels correct?

...They are Mojave trail rated...:biggthump
