Ok so I am right around the corner from 60 000 miles/100 000km. I am planning a major tune up soon, probably within the next couple of weeks.
I was wondering if it is worth buying Motorcraft brand parts over the other guys ( Purolator, AC Delco, etc.) I ask because my friend has a connection @ an automotive store. He can get me 50% off most parts.
However I was wondering if it is not worth my trouble to get parts such as a fuel filter, PCV calve, and serpentine belt, form labels other than Motorcraft. The reason being is the fit of some of these parts may not be the exact same as OEM parts. I really do not want to get a serpentine belt off of Ford, because they want something like $55 or so for it. I am sure the PCV valve is another one of those parts that I best buy from ford. And how about the fuel filter?
Can anybody shed light on anyone/all of these replacement parts. Thanx
