I'm sure that this question has been asked before but...
What motor mounts need to be used when you're swapping from the 4.0 to the 5.0 w/GT40p heads?
I've been through 3 mechanics and 4 sets of headers.
The tranny has been swapped out for a T5. I finally have the correct headers(shortys from Jeg's),the frame was trimmed a bit..and it's carbed now instead of injected.
The trouble now is that since we had clearance issues...we raised the motor mounts to get frame clearance but now the steering shaft won't clear the headers!
We're thinking that a straight piece of Double D iron cut to fit may work but if anyone KNOWs what to do...Please tell me here.
