Totally love the project!!! That makes it soo much cooler, aswell. Keep up the god work. That rear eat should get the tank nice and warm for practically free, who needs bottle warmers anyways?

Well I screwed up.

I am a suspension lift kinda guy.... Never done a body lift on any thing I've ever worked on or owned.

So...
I'm a 17 year Ase mechanic now maintenance mgr of a large fleet and made a rookie mistake...
I didn't read the directions.
So I start my body lift.... And get all bolts loose and think no way these will fit with the factory mounts in place....
So, I remove the factory body mounts ....might I add what a PITA!!!!

Get my blocks in and then think, man these bolts are long as hell....
So I scroll thru the directions.

BAM... Right there in black and white.
Don't remove bushing place spacers atop of the existing mounts...
Who knew.

Any way Urethane replacements are shipped!
And I'd still rather have my balls in a vice opposed to installing a body lift.

Looking good but on hold awaiting parts as usual.

Thanks.

Turned out better than I ever thought!

I may be happy with it some day.

Those are factory but are not headers. Those are just heat shields covering steel tube exhaust manifolds. With those manifolds it's not "if" they will crack it's "when" they will crack.

Lol. All of us have brain farts sometime. I was wondering why after you did the BL it sat so low still. Always good to thoroughly read the instructions first. It's probably a good thing that happened, the factory bushings usually are dead by now. Better off replacing them with the body lift at the same time.

Lookin good!

Actually certain years did have factory headers and some cast manifolds.

Just because they were tube exhaust does not make them headers. I had a 97 Mountaineer with the tube exhaust manifolds. They were nothing like a header.
