Anyone looked into if it is possible or what it would take to install the clear mountaineer tail lamps on our trucks? I'm pretty sure they have an LED element to them so not sure if it would just be a simple plug and play installation...

Any help would be appreciated!

I had the same thought but I was not sure how the leds would work with the computer system. I can't stand those warning messages.

you need a load balancer... the only question i have about those is since you have to splice them into the system, are they reverseable if i need to put my non LED's back in... or if theyre safe to put non LED's in with them

on the load balancer i think all it is is a resistor that is the difference between what ohm resistance a standard bulb is and the led bulb to make the computer think its just a sstandard bulb. as for switching back just cut the wires and conect them back i dont think anyone will care if theyve been cut as long as they work and wont mess up (if youre selling the car)

ps (the edit)

they probably would be relly dim or wouldnt work if you just put the reg bulbs back in because let say that the bulbs are 10ohms and the leds are 5 well youd need a load balance of a 5 ohm resistor now lets say you kept the balancer and put in the reg bulbs it would now be 15 ohms and there would be less current
