I got a brush guard for my '94 today (Thanks Ron) and it uses the triangle shaped holes in the frame to mount it appears. They are 1/4" holes in the brushguard, but the triangle holes are much bigger.

If you have bought one of these (Smittybily style), what mounting hardware comes with it? I'm gonna use grade 8 bolts, but I don't want it sliding around with bumps.

If anyone knows how to mount this thing, or even has the instructions that comes with one on how to mount it and could scan them I would really appreciate it. I don't want to weld it to the frame.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just mounted mine with grade 8 bolts and a couple washers on each side with lock washers too and mine has been on my sport for six months without a problem I used a breaker bar to tighten them:D

I have an Outland brush guard on mine, I will crawl under in and take some pics and try and post them or email them to you, but its two bolts thru the frame on each side to the bracket, then two bolts at the bottom of the bracket to the guard and then two bolts thru the bumper itself to the guard.

Mine only mounts to the frame:D

Pics anyone?

If anyone could take some pics of how their brushguard is mounted on a '91-'94, I would really appreciate it.

I am working on getting the one I have stripped (sandblasted if I can arrange it), so I have a few days before I will mount it.

Again, any pics would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Manik, Only used the triangles also. After I put the GM tow hooks in the bolts wanted to sit funny and the guard semed to face the ground slightly. We just repositioned the guard and then took some thick steel washers that you can get with some receiver kits and used those, then used an air gun to torque them down. We ended up using the highest setting on the gun before it would hold me up when i pushed down on it. It looks great now and It is really on there GOOD.
