Anyone know how to mount the tranny to an engine stand? What holes do I use... the pan holes? I ordered the bench mount that the ATSG manual says to use but its 2-3 weeks away! I want to get started on this thing.

Please help.

Good question, I was wondering about that too.

I think OperaHouse has done it but he didn't mention any details.

I'm really interested in how your rebuild goes.

I mentioned it a little

Think may be on page 2 "transmission removal". I just used an engine stand with a 3 point mounting to the pan bolts. Just use washers so the surface isn't marred. I might make something fancier next time that wraps around the transmission. That tailstock mount seems a litle awkward and top heavy. The engine stand rotates it around the center. Some have adapted that offical tranny mount onto the engine stand. It is sure nice to be able to wheel it around for the best light and to get it out of the way between sessions.

Thanks... I am taking pics... I will post when completed.
