MPG, What to do

2001 Ford Explorer Sport
I have a 2001 X Sport 4x4, i am getting 8-12 mpg in town and 15-16 highway, anyone else getting the same and what can i do to fix it, i havent done anything to it since i got it, except regular oil changes and fuild top off's, i got it at 120,000, and now at 132,000, any advice will help

Well i would do the usual stuff then:
-New Spark Plugs
-New Spark Plug Wires
-New Fuel Filter
-New Air Filter
-New PCV
-Seafoam it (search if you are unsure what this is)
-Clean MAF sensor
-Clean your Throttle body

I would do those things first if you know those items have not been replaced or cleaned. That would be a good start.
