Just got the code for a multiple cylinder misfire...

2001 explorer, 302 (5.0)

It doesn't run rough at all...it feels normal...

Where would be a good place to start?

I dont recall...i think it was either a 300 or 303...I'll go pull it again tomorrow...

Random misfire code is usually a P0300. Anything in the range of P0301-308 indicates a specific cylinder. The 5.0 is prone to spark plug wire problems. A random misfire can be just about anything, further checking with a scan tool should reveal a clue. There is mode 6 data which can help narrow down which cylinder might be misfiring, but the person viewing the data has to have some understanding of how to interpret the data.

Are you having a problem that prompted you to check the code? Is the CEL on? The code you found could be pending, meaning it is not bad enough to cause a problem, but kinda like an advance warning of potential problem.
