Drove this gem home and started tearing down.

4wd motor not working but all else seamed ok. Interior pretty trashed so it got deleted.

Going with 4.88 trac lock in front and full locker in rear. This build is dual purpose as to rock crawl with jeeps and still go fast in desert. Fiberglass will go all around with 4" Solo lift.

Start rebuild Solo 4" lift with 15" travel. Gears and trac lock in front end. New ball joints and wheel bearings should arrive today so hopefully that will be installed tonight

Have deavers sitting in garage and ready to install those this week as well.

Good score, I loved my old 92 Sport!
Sounds like you put a lot of thought into the build , and you know what you're doing.
Is a cage part of the plan?

Yes, cage will happen a little down the road. I already have buckets for the front, going to run stock rear bench at first. Only upper ball joints showed today so front end not 100%

Did finish sand blasting spindles and paint. I hate the waiting

Has anyone on this site installed their own fiberglass explorer bedsides? I have them sitting in garage and trying to figure of best way to go at this.

Thanks

Tires showed but spindle going on cut & turned beams is not working out. I don't know if something is off with lower ball joint not seating all the way or hardly at all.

Pulled new ball joints out and pressed original ball joints in and same issue.
