Things to repair:
Upper and lower ball joints
alignment
Leather repair/restore
Cruise control switches on steering wheel
Steering wheel leather
4wd does not engage
Dent
Paint is scratched and very dull
Needs tires
Rear door interior handles broken
Drivers door exterior handle loose
Change all fluids
Tune up

Alterations/Improvements list (will inevitably grow):
Small lift
Tires
Radio
Bull bar
Lights
Paint cladding
Remove side steps
Roof rack

Completed:
Ball joints (sorry, forgot to take pics)

Lift:
I bought this knowing I would have to change both upper and lower ball joints on both sides. So I would need an alignment. Then why not lift it a bit at the same time.:D

So, I received the lift from rtztech an ebay. (I know everyone's opinions on TT Vs keys and War shackles Vs Ebay.)
This kit is torsion key and shackles.
The keys are very heavy duty and guaranteed to be the same quality forged steel as the OEM(we will see). They are also clocked in order to lift easier without having to turn the bar which I feel would stiffen the suspension.
The shackles are great and extremely sturdy feeling. The "adjustable" holes are 7 3/4" or 9 1/4" aprt from hole #1 . Where as the WAR shackles are 8.5"

Here was the problem:
I removed the torsion key cover, torsion adjustment bolt, small boltbar and then factory key.
I then installed the new key on the torsion bar and attempted to fit the large round end back in the key saddle. Well it is about 3mm too wide to fit. With out fitting, the key and torsion bar will be able to move back and forth, which I am not OK with.
I have contacted the seller and will keep you updated.

Good luck with your project. I'm nearly finished with my '01 ST project. (see my "New Toy" thread for details) which I started this past June. Here's a pic of the way it looks today.
