I have a 2004 Ford Explorer. My battery went dead and i tried to jump it but it won't turn over or nothing. Everything is working ie, horns, lights, and everything else but it won't crank. I was told it was the alarm. How do i turn off or reset the alarm.

is there a security light flashing? Try another key. If the battery is fully charged, i'd charge it to be sure, it sounds like a 'PATSII' problem, there is a security module for the key, rarely (although not really) it forgets which key is allowed to start the truck, seems to happen with a really dead battery. If it is, then a trip/tow to the dealer can fix it by reprogramming the keys.

check your fuel shutoff switch. i think it's in the passanger footwell, but i'd look in your owner's manuel to be safe.
