My 2004 XLT Explorer

Been here lurking a while and finally decided to start a registry for my EX. Picked this truck up for the wife to use to pickup the kids to and from school and to take on family trips. Since I can't leave any of my vehicles stock.. I got the bug to mod a few things! This truck would still be bone stock if wasn't for this forum! Lol

Here's a pic when we picked it up a couple months ago with 140k.

One of the first things I bought for the EX a bike rack!

Needed tires so I went ahead and picked up some Goodyear Wranglers ATS 265/70-17. Good deal I got from a buddy. This is also the first time taking the EX out to the local truck trail.

Installed tow hooks and yellow tint for the fogs.

Then it got serious and I ordered BTF spacers 2/1.75 and the UCA. Spacers came in but still waiting on the UCA to be made and delivered.

Had a little bit of time to install the lift. Just did the fronts so far hopefully this weekend I'll have the time to finish the rears. But here's what it looks with just the front 2in BTF lift.

Heres how she sits as of today 10/19. I painted the grill black and removed the front lip as well.

The BTF UCA's came in! Hopefully I have time to get these installed along with the rear spacers before next weekend. These arms are beefy!! Welds look great and super fast turn around time.

Finally found time to install the rear spacer yesterday. Still have the BTF UCAs to install. Took it out on a lil trail today and definitely need the arms installed ASAP! Even with a 2" front spacer the driver side spindle is hitting the coil spring.

Here's the Ex on a light trail..

Haven't updated my build thread in a while but here s a few updates since installing the rear spacers. I picked up 5 17x9 steel wheels and mounted some kumho pathfinders in 265/70-17 so nice to have a full size spare in the same size!

I then found some time to install the BTF upper arms finally along with Monroe quick struts!

Took the rig out for a quick run to the local truck trail

Just from the arms and struts upgrades the rig handles so much better on and off road! I did get an extra 1/2 inch lift from the install.. Wondering if it's from the BTF arms or the quickstruts.
