My A4LD blew out the front seal.

I blew front seal on my A4LD Tranny, I only had to drive it less than a mile after it blew, I drained all of the remaining fluid(which was a bout 4 quarts) I pulled the tranny replaced the seal and reinstalled, now I have to work the throttle to get it to shift into second gear, aside from that everything works perfect, the tranny has 87,000 miles on it.
Any ideas?
