I ordered a set of Kenwood 6x8 speakers. When they arrived it was plain to see that the box had already been opened as you can see from the attached photos. I didn't even pull the speakers out once I saw the obviously used wiring. I just thought the new speakers had already been installed.

So I had to fight with Amazon to have them pickup the speakers without charging me for the pickup, or making me drop it off at a UPS store. 10 days after the box was picked up I recieved my "new" speakers. I opened up the Amazon box, and low and behold there was the same exact box staring back at me. I opened it up, and the note that I had left inside the Kenwood box was gone. They obviously read it, but didn't care.

So after arguing with Amazon for about an hour I got a refund, was told to keep what I have, and I also got a $10 credit.

After the call I finally took the speakers out of the box. Guess what? They weren't even Kenwood speakers, they were old, crusty FORD speakers. Someone bought the Kenwood speakers and returned their old speakers and I was the lucky guy who got stuck with them TWICE!

Amazon used to be great, on time, and fast as can be. These days about 25% of my orders are messed up in some way.

What a bunch of hooey I would leave feedback for the seller

I've had similar experiences over the years. They were better years ago. They told me many times that they would give me a few dollars as points. Sometimes they did but not all of the time. They insist on customers mailing everything back so that they could recycle/sell it instead of letting you keep it. Was it a warehouse deal or a regular new sale?

Amazon used to be great
Same with K Mart or Walmart. They start out great to draw in business, once the competition is out of business they can treat you however they want cause you'll take it to save 10 cents. Both box stores I listed used to have a guarantee that if more than 3 people were in line to pay, another register will be opened. Now I spend more time in line to pay than shopping. Amazon intentionally uses the slowest shipping possible unless you're a prime member.

Ouch! That sucks! I havent had an issue with Amazon yet, but granted I dont order many specific things, usually spools of wire or brackets, nothign too complex.

They were supposed to be new speakers.

And some a hole out there got your new Kenwoods and then the fraudster got his money back
But the good news is he also got bad karma and karma is a *****

On a side note I picked up 6 sets of mb quarts coaxial 5x7 door speakers for $25 a set and they sound awesome for the $$$ boxes arrived in damaged and the speakers were in there!! Sometimes we win due to all the good karma we carry around

So you're saying you need another matching set? I have some old Ford speakers I can send you. Heck I can even put them in a Kenwood box for you 😅

@Rick Amazon is the new eBay. Anybody can sell stuff on there. When you go through the process of adding an item to your "cart", make sure that you inspect your seller options. As with any marketing experience, you can expect to pay more for better service. Products are half of what you pay for, service is the other half.

The speakers were sold through an audio store in Missouri.

662 ratings none bellow 4 stars. :dunno:

@Rick I guess there are bad apples on every tree.
