I like the philosophy of living in the van but I have lived in my Previa for 65 days straight with a lot more dog poundage and none of the expensive amenities of that van. And I'm a lot older than that couple. I travel with 85 pounds of dog, a banjo, guitar (sometimes 2 guitars) mountain bike (inside), large format and medium format photography gear, large cooler, a tub of clothes and books, a tub of camping gear/food, 5 gallon bucket of dog food/emergency crapper lol and nothing mounted outside the van. It takes less than 5 minutes to go from driving to sleeping-put the cooler and bike outside, throw camera gear in front seat, instruments go up onto a shelf, and out comes the sleeping bag or backpacking campstove. I'm also single so that may be part of how I can do this lol, I don't need a mattress or fridge or many other comforts. The dog doesnt complain but a girlfriend might.
Anyway its a cool idea and I hope I'm living out of an Aerostar soon. I think they have some advantages over the Previas I've been using, and many of the same difficulties.
