My experience with Procarparts.com

So I decided to buy some clear corners for my 93 X and procarparts.com sells them for 44.95....awsome price so I punched up the website, submitted my purchase using Visa. They email me back the next day and say that cannot process my order because I live in Canada and they cannot verify the billing address of my Visa.....I assume that is to deter fraudulent activity.......anyway...I called visa and they told me that was absurd...he outlined the actual process stating that when the merchant receives the billing information,,,they are supposed to call the credit card company (visa, m/c, amer. express etc...) and verbally verify the information. Bottom line is that procarparts.com simply refuse to make this phone call....instead they are telling me to send a money order. I got extremely poor service from the supervisor...didn't offer to look into the situation, no apologies and when I asked for his manager he did whatever he could keep me from getting the needed info. I am frustrated. Does anyone know where I can get the same product (Clear corners for 91-94X) for the same price ?? $44.95 I am looking for a company that actually WANTS to do business....these jokers at procarparts claim to be the BEST ONLINE....yah RIGHT.

I have heard 50/50 about procarparts.com. Check EBay. There are one or two more company's that sell clears on there that will ship to Canada.

Explorer express wants double the price for the same product.....I am trying to find another company that will sell me them for the same price $44.95 + Shipping....I refuse to deal with procarparts. I checked on Ebay but didn't have much luck,,,anyone know the name of a company selling them for similar pricing ??

-clearlights.com has them for $58.95
-stylinconcepts.com has them for $89.95
-truckperformance.com lists them @ $27.00 and $34.00 but it doesn't seem right to me

I never ordered from them, but I called them so ask about availability of some taillights. I swear I was talking to a bunch of yucks in a SoCal taco joint. That was enough to frighten me from ordering from them!

procarparts stuff is SHIIT!! i would run...

i bought some clear indicators for my wife's mercedes. they wouldn't stay 'clicked' in place, kept coming loose.

after 2 summer months, the rubber edging was cracking!!

garbage!

i ordered some oem [bosch]european spec'd clear ones, they're perfect.

i'm not the only one they've screwed, BE CAREFUL

find out the manufacturer before you order

I can verify this. Bought reverse-indiglo gauges about 3 months ago, and now only the green side works, the blue side burned itself out or something about a month ago. Their stuff sucks.

Wow,,,good info....I guess its good that they screwed me around on the purchase after all I don't want to have to buy these clears twice....I haven't yet decided where I gonna buy them but I have been communicating with John @ explorer express and he is very professional...I like it...

I bought my clears from procarparts.com, their service was excellent, maybe I just got lucky. The clears themselves haven't gotten that dreaded-yellowing or anything yet.
